Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The 2024 NFL Draft is just days away from kicking off with the Chicago Bears on the clock with the first overall pick.

As the top prospects and members of the media make their way Detroit, Michigan, the site of the 2024 NFL Draft, everyone else is clamoring about how the draft could go.

With only a few days left until opening night, the only surefire selection all but confirmed at this point is the Bears taking USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick.

After the top selection, the Bears will continue to be an intriguing team to monitor on opening night as the team is also in possession of the ninth overall pick in the draft. The Bears are widely expected to either draft a wide receiver, offensive lineman, or defensive lineman with their second pick in the first round.

The most popular name on various mock drafts with the Bears' second pick has been Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze, whom Bears' fans would love to see land in Chicago alongside Williams on opening night.

The two have already started it off on the right foot ahead of the draft after Williams revealed on social media that the two ran into each other while boarding the same plane headed to Detroit.

Soon after, Odunze himself replied to Williams post while on the plane in a playful manner letting everyone know he'll get Williams to Detroit safely.

Both players will obviously be in attendance during the first round on Thursday anxiously awaiting Roger Goodell calling their names in front of the entire world.

It's anyone’s guess what will happen after the first pick of the draft but many people on social media are already hoping that today's flight will be the first of many that Williams and Odunze will share together.
