Bill Belichick to play prominent role on ESPN's 'Manningcast' in 2024

Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick may not be on an NFL sideline in 2024, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see him on television during NFL games.

According to a report from The Athletic, Belichick is set to be a recurring guest on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli” — a gig that will reportedly pay him millions of dollars — in addition to the other irons he has in the fire, which include a potential book deal (which The Athletic estimated could be worth seven figures), an “inside football show” and his own podcast.

That’s all in addition to the guest analyst role on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” that he’s already agreed to do during the 2024 NFL Draft. McAfee has also implied he wants Belichick as a weekly guest on his show next season, which appears likely to happen given their draft-coverage partnership.

Belichick is also expected to sign a deal with Omaha Productions, the entertainment company founded by Peyton Manning in 2020 that produces the “Manningcast” and works with ESPN on various other live college football, UFC and golf events.

The rumored “inside football show” would be part of any deal the three-time NFL Coach of the Year signs with Omaha Productions, but any future podcast would likely be with a different platform.

Belichick’s delve into the sports media world will likely only last one season, as he’s made it known he wants to coach again in 2025, per ESPN.

The 72-year-old is just 15 regular-season wins away from breaking Don Shula’s all-time record for most head-coaching victories.
